Laurent Tribut Chablis Beauroy 1er Cru 2023
$200.00The pale lemon-yellow hue belies the potent aromas of white peach, green apple, oyster shell and white blossoms packed into this delicious wine. The texture is creamy and deep, yet the vibrant acidity draws it to an impressively long finish. The grapes are from 0.65ha spread over several parcels on different soil types, bringing diversity […]

Bicknell FC Lance Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
$85.00This is a wine that gets me unreasonably excited about Yarra cabernet. A tightrope walker, risk taker, the excitement coming from how close it gets to the edge. Mulberry fruit and leaf, cassis, cedar, rubbed rosemary. It’s the lithesome way it moves that excites. 142 dozen made. 12.7% alcohol. 97 points – Nick Ryan, The […]

House of Arras Grand Vintage 2017
$120.00Light, bright yellow/straw in the glass, with aromas of herbs, celeriac and green apple, smoky/toasty tertiary characters in the background, and everything in lovely balance—no one thing dominating. The mousse is creamy on the palate with fluffy texture and a lovely dry, appetising finish which is soft, balanced and dry. Great length and tension. A […]

Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron Aligote 2023
$125.00The 2023 Bouzeron has a vivacious nose that boldly declares, “I am Aligoté!” The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity and beautiful weight in the mouth, featuring hints of lemon curd, white peach and Anjou pear toward the poised finish. Tyrrell’s Vat 8 Shiraz Cabernet 2023
$90.00The outlier in the range, considering that it’s the only blend and a multiregional blend at that, with 35% of the fruit coming from McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s also a genuine blend of styles, not trying to be a Hunter Valley wine, but an emblematic Australian wine, and therein lies its value. It’s not […]

Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
$145.00“This was a very good vintage in Margaret River after the slightly more challenging ’21. This has the refined elegance and prettiness that is the Moss Wood DNA. The colour is quite pale compared to some previous vintages, but don’t be fooled into thinking this is some shrinking violet. Violets, yes, but plenty more in […]

Henri Germain Bourgogne Aligote 2022
$90.00“The 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté comes from a single parcel in Meursault and is one-quarter aged in barrel. It has a very pure and perfumed bouquet. The well-balanced palate has a keen line of acidity and a nice sharpness here with a “pointed” finish. Very fine.” 88-90 points, Neal Martin, Vinous This rare Aligoté is drawn […]

Domaine Tempier Bandol La Migoua 2022
$190.00The La Migoua area is renowned for its geological features and is often studied for its complex sediment patterns. Fonseca Vintage Port 2017
$220.00The 2017 Vintage Port, not quite bottled when seen but the final blend, is a field blend (with typical grapes like Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca) aged for approximately 20 months in used French oak. It comes in with 98 grams of residual sugar, a little drier on paper […]

Fonseca Vintage Port 2016
$220.00On this second look, this Fonseca is still remarkably expressive, lifted and gloriously fresh, even with that slight closing. It has reasonable mid-palate concentration but even better intensity of flavor. Despite that intensity of flavor, it is not quite as sexy as it is in some years, at least not yet, as the tannins are […]

Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs NV Brut
$165.00Too many Blanc de Blancs are sour and overtly mineral, making them difficult to enjoy, let alone drink. Vincent Dancer Pommard 1er Cru Les Pezerolles 2022
$590.00Les Pézerolles is a site just above Les Petits Épenots and Clos des Epeneaux and is, therefore, one of Pommard’s highest Premiers Crus. It regularly produces some of the village’s finest reds. It’s a site that gives finesse—in the context of Pommard—and is widely considered to generate a style that is as much Volnay as Pommard. Some big names work […]
