Bright and deep purple-red colour; fragrant pepper-spice bouquet with some vegetal bunchy traces as well as red and darker fruits. An elegant and beautifully trimmed palate—not heavy or extractive but glides across the palate, with grace and balance. This drinks beautifully young. 93 points – Huon Hooke, The Real Review A blend of three […]

Fighting Gully Road Verdicchio 2025

A wine of quiet confidence, beautifully balanced between richness and finesse. Medium to full-bodied and wonderfully textural, it unfolds in layers of white stone fruit and delicate blossom, with a vibrant citrus core adding lift and energy. By Farr Farrside Pinot Noir 2024

$110.00

Every year, it’s a tussle to decide my preference; Sangreal or Farrside. A warmer, even vintage 2024, without extremes and there seems a certain evenness to the two pinots, they are so well appointed. Another feature of this release is their apparent openness, so much so that I cannot remember these two wines tasting so […]

Traviarti Nebbiolo 2022

$75.00

The 2022 vintage, of which we bought up the entirety of stock that was left, is showing magnificently. 2022 was a cool and wet season, ensuring a very late harvest, excellent for Nebbiolo and the development of long, complex tannins. Aromas of cool and tangy red and hedge fruits, baking spices, lavender and rose, and […]

Bondar Violet Hour Shiraz 2024

Andre Bondar and Selina Kelly approach McLaren Vale shiraz like young renovators who’ve just inherited an old mansion from an eccentric old aunt. What was once dark has had the light let in, abundant artifacts and ornate over-stuffing replaced with cleaner lines and more open space. It’s still the beautiful place it always was, but […]

Home Hill Estate Pinot Noir 2023

This is a beguiling and dreamy wine. Translucent, deep ruby/magenta with a harmonious bouquet of dark, jubey fruit, subtle florals, spicy rolling tobacco and wet stone. Place of Changing Winds Between Two Mountains Pinot Noir 2024

$140.00

A phenomenally individualistic wine, and the most emblematic Pinot Noir from Place of Changing Winds. Tension runs through every seam: sleek and structured, with high-toned blueberry, hedgerow fruits, cut flowers, Indian spices, vanilla and mint, balancing sweet and savoury. There’s a brooding, elemental quality beneath a shroud of smoky, flinty reduction, hinting at greater beauty […]

Bannockburn SRH Chardonnay 2025

$109.00

From a 12-row block of P58 clone planted in ’76. Matured in French hogsheads and puncheons (40% new); 70% mlf. A very bright green gold. Interestingly, this is the most restrained and subtle of Bannockburn’s ’25 chardonnays, and, no surprise, also the most complex. Bondar Fiano 2025

Mainly from Ben Lacey’s Branson Road vineyard in Tatachilla, supplemented with fruit from the Minchella family, also in Tatachilla. La Petite Mort Qvevri Gentil 2021

Despite the floral nature of these two Alsatian varieties, they complement and contrast each other brilliantly.
