The 2022 vintage, of which we bought up the entirety of stock that was left, is showing magnificently. 2022 was a cool and wet season, ensuring a very late harvest, excellent for Nebbiolo and the development of long, complex tannins. Aromas of cool and tangy red and hedge fruits, baking spices, lavender and rose, and freshly turned earth. Very pure on the medium-bodied palate, succulent, savoury and mouth watering. Nothing is forced, the tannins al dente, the acidity vibrant, the palate vibrant, intense and textured. Harmony and balance, all the elements interwoven for a long and gorgeous life. It’s too early to know how long the Traviarti Nebbiolo’s will age in bottle, but what is certain is that at every stage of their evolution, they are a beautiful, intellectual and emotional drinking experience.Waters Wine Co
The cool season has provided a finer and bonier iteration than the 21 and with the most approachable tannin profile so far off the site. While this drinks early it has the drive and balance to live a happy life in a good cellar. Simon Grant – Winemaker

Very light salmon-pink hue; rose petal/pot-pourri aromas rise from the glass; damp straw and poached quince as well. It’s light, refreshing and dry on the tongue, savoury rather than grapy, with a faint note of deli meats. Lovely balance and drinkability. A very smart and more-ish rosé. 95 points – Huon Hooke, The Real Review […]

Classic Tasmanian pinot noir from a great year. Complex red summer fruits. Floral, roses and lavender, with sweet and savoury spice, compost, pine needles and smoke. Plenty of volume and shape, the fruit succulent and juicy – balanced by darker, savoury elements. So much textural flavour complexity, the wine a shape shifter in the glass. […]

Flavour with attitude: down to earth and savoury as savoury can be. An attitude adjustment can be made with a decent decant, and then it’s a revelation with the emergence of attractive rose and pressed flowers alongside a wealth of ripe dark fruits, spice, earth, bracken, leather, woodsmoke and cured meats. The palate is ripped […]

Tasted alongside the 2017, the 2018 vintage is warmer and drier, and so fuller, with a slightly darker fruit profile and pronounced structure. Gorgeous aromatics of cola, aniseed, cassis, rose, geranium, bitumen and savoury spice. Rich and full flavoured, but in no way heavy and the overall impression is one of translucence and purity. Round […]
