Rings Kallstadter Steinacker Pinot Noir 2020
$130.00The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted again in the winery and destemmed. Without pumping, the grapes go into their wooden fermentation vats, the “cuvees”, with a proportion of whole grapes that have not been destemmed. After a short maceration period, the mash ferments spontaneously with natural yeasts. Matured in new and used barriques, filled unfiltered.

Nicole Lamarche Vosne-Romanee 2020
$210.00“Mid pink-purple in colour, notably reduced nose. Too much to blow off. Very pretty elegant pure red fruit on the palate, with good concentration, plenty of oak and the slight firmness from the reduction. That apart, this is excellent, and very long. Scored on the basis that the reduction will depart.” 89-92 points, Jasper Morris MW, […]

David Moreau Santenay Rouge 1er Cru Beaurepaire 2021
$145.00The 2021 Santenay Beaurepaire 1er Cru has a clean and pure bouquet with precise and pure red cherry and strawberry fruit, wilted rose petal and light violet aromas percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip, a little foursquare in style. A small amount of chalkiness towards the finish is detailed, though […]

Gerard Julien & Fils Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru Les Bousselots 2020
$265.00Les Bousselots is a mid slope vineyard, with clay rich soils. As you would expect the wines are full bodied, dark coloured and with deep soft tannins. Julien’s rendition is one of the blackest from any producer of this vineyard I can remember tasting. Spiced plum, hedge fruits, black cherry and cassis, flecked with sweet […]

Tillie J Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2025
$42.00One-third whole bunches and matured in 10% new barriques. A medium, bright cherry-red. Aromas of cherry, pressed flowers and spice; noticeably richer than the ’24. Gently plush, the palate fans out nicely before finishing with grippy, well-formed tannins. Better with air and will continue to improve over the next few years. Nicely done, as always. […]

Dr Edge Concrete Pinot Noir 2025
$60.00My favourite wine of the release. It’s like walking into a florist next door to a spice market, such is the intensity and complexity of the aromatics. Gorgeously pretty and incredibly complex, with an array of flowers, sweet and savoury spices, cola, dark cherry, blueberry, cranberry and raspberry. Precise and delicate, with fruit, flowers, spice […]

Dr Edge Barrique Pinot Noir 2025
$60.00Lovely to taste a Tassie Pinot with weight, colour and heft, yet for all that, it still sits at around 12% alcohol. A darker fruit profile, with glacé cherry, cassis, raspberry, cranberry and violets. Richer and fuller, with that extra width, heft and structure associated with barrel ageing. Woodsmoke, lavender tea, fresh compost and Middle […]
