Dappled Appellation Chardonnay 2025
Yarra Valley Vineyard blend again being from Seville, St Andrews, Steels Creek. 100% hand picked wild fermented in new and old French oak. No additions or finning except SO2 and a light filtration. Vegan friendly.
Pale yellow in colour with a green hue. White peach, citrus blossom, Mille-feuille and toasted nuts come to mind aroma-wise. The wine is young and coiled up and loves air. The pallet is quite savoury and with salty lime freshness, it builds weight and texture with time and more juicy stone fruit flavours magic up. It’s tightly-coiled and as per usual will be fantastic with a few years in the cellar – Shaun Crinion
Dappled Gladysdale Lieu-dit Pinot Noir 2025
100% from a single vineyard in Gladysdale in the upper reaches of the Yarra Valley. The moderate warm and dry year of the 25’ vintage enabled a long and constant ripening and resulted in a fantastic depth and wight for this Pinot, still retaining beautiful freshness.
Dark Ruby red colour in the glass. Rich Cherry cola, dark chocolate aromas mix with dark plum and a gentle Smokey oak spice. The pallet is rich with Davidson plum and dark cherry fruit; it has a creamy roundness with a fresh cherry pip acidity. Complex cigar box spices and gentle but structured tannins close the long finish – Shaun Crinion
Dappled Tradition Cabernets 2025
Old vines (1981) Single site Cabernet Sauvignon/ Cab Franc blend from the warm sub region of Steels Creek.
This is a classic year being warm and dry; the wine pours out with a ridiculous bright purple colour. The aromas are the benchmark Yarra Cabernet, black currant, violets and dusty cigar box. The palate is plush and dense with black fruits, medium tannins and fantastic length. It’s great now but also great for the cellar! Classic old school Claret – Shaun Crinion
