Tastes of luxury, according to Louise, and I have to agree. Feels luxurious too, with a long, slender frame woven by silken threads. Rich and almost full bodied, poised. Ripe fruit, yellow peach, guava, pawpaw, kiwifruit and cherry. Very fine feel and subtle texture, flecked with spice. Imperious and magnificent. Waters Wine Co
Exotic, rich, pungent nose with truly exciting fruit. Crunchy sensation and really deep flavours. Passion fruit flavours and creamy texture. Electric impact and no shortage of ripe fruit but a long, bone-dry finish. Great stuff. 17/20 – Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com
Cuvée Théo Riesling comes exclusively from the monopole Le Clos des Capucins (which takes its name from the Capuchin friars who arrived here in 1619), at the base of the celebrated Schlossberg hill. The Clos is well protected from winds by the surrounding hills and by the walls enclosing it. The soils consist of sand, alluvial pebbles and granitic gravel. Here the low-cropping vines typically offer up a supple and pithy Riesling that’s beautifully accessible young—a reflection of these sandy soils. As per all Weinbach Rieslings, this was whole-cluster pressed, fermented without any yeast additions and matured in very old oak casks for 10 months. Importer’s notes
Riesling of the Year & White Wine of the Year – “Thanks to a cool season and biodynamic farming, Jeff Grosset proclaims 2024 as the most pristine fruit he has seen since he first planted in the Clare Valley in the early 1980s. By jove! Polish Hill 2024 is as desperately gorgeous as any of […]
Add to cart Producer: GrossetIntense aromatics of passionfruit, lime, blackcurrant, cherry, stone fruits, honey, mustard and savoury spice. Dense, concentrated, in fact, perhaps the deepest core of power that I have tasted in an Australian Riesling. Expansive palate, direct in flavour, precise scaffold, chalky texture and that width! There is so much hidden here, so much pleasure to come. […]

From old vines, between 50 and 60 years old, a stunning array of cool aromatics. The faintest of pink colour, with beeswax, grapefruit, juniper, mint, tarragon, red delicious apple, lime zest and frangipani. Intense but not obtuse. Coiled, tense, vivid and cool flavours, including gooseberry, kiwifruit, savoury spice, tonic-like and pickled vine leaf. So bracing […]
Read more Producer: Hofgut FalkensteinMesh is a collaboration between Yalumba’s Robert Hill Smith and Jeffrey Grosset, two of Australia’s greatest riesling producers. Typical of the vintage, the 2021 has that extra level of concentration. White flowers, mandarin oil, lemon zest and juicy ripe limes. Texturally, there is a chalky/salty mineral feel, that really lifts the finish. Precise, elegant, detailed […]
