The 2020er Ritsch GG, as it is referred to on the front label, comes from old and partially still un-grafted vines and was fermented spontaneously and aged on its gross lees in traditional Fuder cask for 6 months. It immediately catches one’s attention with its intensive and smoky notes of herbs, ginger, pear, candied grapefruit, almond, and pineapple. The wine is superbly delicate and smooth on the palate and delivers plenty of finesse and freshness in the hugely long, smoky, and intense finish. The aftertaste is intense, focused, and hugely multi-layered. This is a stunning dry Riesling in the making! 2024-2030. 93 Points – Mosel Fine Wines

95 Points – “The 2020 Marienburg GG is pure and fresh on the coolish and stony nose that represents its terroir perfectly well even if still showing a sur lie layer. Talk about a giant killer. Rheinhessen’s Morstein makes one of the broadest, densest Rieslings on the planet, and Seehof’s rendition is one of the best. More elegant in style, but wanting for nothing. Citrus, zest, minerals, dried herbs, faint notes of smoke, grapefruit and melon. Bright. Juicy, concentrated and full of tension with ripe, pulpy […]

This medium-bodied dry riesling is so charming and lively, but also has very good depth and balance at the finish. 92 points, Stuart Pigott, James Suckling Dry. Organic. Screwcap. Few German estates produce an entry Riesling of this depth and structure. It is made entirely […]
Add to cart Producer: Muller-CatoirThe Estate Riesling is sourced from mostly 25-year-old vines grown on granite soils at 650 metres elevation. After approximately 24 hours on skins, the fruit was direct-pressed to two ceramic eggs for fermentation and a year-long élevage with lees. It was then racked to old foudre where it rested before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. […]
