A huge pinot noir and of a style that as far as i know, i have only tasted from Central Otago. Intense in every way. all the elements dialled up. Soaring aromatics of blackcurrant, blackberry, mulberry, sweet raspberry, licorice and dark chocolate. Dense, deep, concentrated and chewy, the fruit exuberant and glossy. Round and curvaceousness, with a very deep, baking spice laden core, the tannins ripe and juicy. Dripping in flavour and presence, not inelegant for all that, like a 3 day old Black Forest Gateau, with all the flavours and elements seeping into each other. Strap in folks! Waters Wine Co
Intense wine that is on the dark side with concentrated flavours that suggest black fruits, cacao powder, liquorice and anise supported by sweet, chewy tannins A wine of substance and of promise. Time will add new layers to an already tantalisingly complex wine. 97 Points – Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review
A rather smoky red on the nose with earthy, shiitake mushroom, lead pencil, dark cherry and strawberry aromas and flavors. Full-bodied and layered with lots of cloves and black pepper. Only the second bottling here. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. 96 Points – Jamessuckling.com

“A four-vineyard, six-clone blend; 20% wholes bunches, 15% new oak. A bright crimson red. A lifted bouquet redolent of summer red fruits, poached rhubarb, rose bush and white pepper. The energetic palate is light to medium bodied with the wine’s fine-grained tannins and bright acidity making for a delicious and refreshing mouthful. Good, nay, great […]
Add to cartThis is 100% estate fruit, 25% whole bunches were retained while the balance of the crop was destemmed. A wild ferment was in small open vats and the juice had about three to four days rest before some gentle foot-stomping and a daily plunge. Everything was pressed after 14 days into tank, and then gravity-fed […]

“The 2022 Bourgogne Cuvée de Noble Souche is pretty and giving, bursting with aromas of plums, raspberry liqueur and rose petals. Medium-bodied, supple and succulent, it will drink well on release.” 88-89 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate “Fresh deep purple, with its usual very exciting lifted bouquet. A full succulent raspberry and fresh plum […]

The palate exhibits similar flavour spectrum with some nice density to it, trademark Toolangi tannin to close but its fresh and ready to go! Fruit […]
