Laurent Tribut Chablis Beauroy 1er Cru 2022
$190.00“A whiff of exotic fruit lurks in the background of the aromas of mostly white peach, apricot and sea breeze. The rich and beautifully textured medium weight flavors possess notably better depth on the sneaky long and balanced finale that is noticeably firmer.” 90-92 points – Allen Meadows, Burghound Click here for our full […]

Jean-Paul and Benoit Droin Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu 2023
$190.00“Benoît calls his Mont de Milieu ‘my little Condrieu’ because of its ripeness and ripe aromas of apricot, nectarine and quince with hints of honeysuckle. Despite the ripe fruit there is also a sense of firm minerality on the lingering finish. The grapes are from a south-facing site, which is among the right bank’s sunniest; […]

Chantereves Savigny-les-Beaune Dessus de Montchenevoy 2021
$170.00Le Dessus de Montchenevoy is located above the famed Savigny 1er Cru Aux Guettes. It’s a west-facing site on white soils that sits at an altitude of 350 metres and is surrounded by trees. The altitude and cool air from the forest help moderate the climate here, resulting in slow ripening and flavour development, while […]

Patrick Piuze Petit Chablis 2023
$70.00Patrick Piuze’s 2023 Petit Chablis is showing very well in the context of the appellation, offering up notes of lemon zest, acacia and pear. Domaine la Remejeanne Cotes du Rhone Les Chevrefeuilles Rouge 2022
$39.00I once heard from a Californian wine grower that syrah (or shiraz) was a chameleon of a grape variety, adapting itself to a plentitude of environment’s, wine making techniques and varietal bedfellows. It is for me, the greatest French varietal of them all. I was so taken by Remejeanne’s Chevrefeuilles rouge for it’s freshness, complexity, […]

Henri Germain Meursault Limozin 2022
$265.00“Another wine that has only partially completed its malolactic fermentation is the 2022 Meursault Le Limozin, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy wine that’s broader and more voluminous than the taut Chevalières. Offering up reductive aromas of pear, hazelnuts and iodine, it concludes with a long, mouthwatering finish.” 91-93 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate […]

Huet Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu Sec 2021
$90.00“This is a very fine, fragrant and floral Le Haut Lieu Sec. While delicate, the 2021 fills the mouth with a cloud of pure fruit reminiscent of violets, apple and nectarine skin. There’s a fine sinew that pulls the wine through on the finish. It can be approached in its youth but will go on […]

Caroline Morey Chassagne Montrachet Chambrees 2023
$285.00The usual blend of Bergerie, Masures, Chênes though the last is now pulled out (161/49 rootstock). Pale lemon and lime. Quite a refined bouquet, majoring on elegance rather than weight. Delicate, nuanced, good acidity, a pure and perfumed Chassagne for the medium term. Not too reductive at this stage. Drink from 2027-2032. 89-91 points – […]

Clos Larrouyat Jurancon Moelleux Phoenix 2020
$60.00Phoenix is crafted entirely from Petit Manseng. The drying southerly Foehn wind allows for the late harvests and passerillé necessary to produce Jurançon’s moelleux wines. The 2020 Phoenix was picked in November, then naturally fermented and aged for eight months in used barrels. With moderate residual sugar (of around 60 g/L), the racy Salharang style displays a terrific […]

Denis Mortet Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Cinq Terroirs 2021
$285.00This is Mortet’s ‘super-Gevrey’, sourced from a clutch of five brilliantly placed plots that Denis Mortet chose for the quality of their terroir and plant material. All the vines are at the northern end of the appellation, which dictates the finesse. Fabien Coche Meursault ‘Les Chevalieres’ 2021
$250.00The lieux-dit of Les Chevalieres is situated above the village of Meursault. Above is the lieux-dit of Les Luchets, which produces a higher toned, more tensile wine. I can’t help but think that this is ideally situated, in a sense, mid-slope, the perfect aspect in Burgundy. Impossibly complex, with notes of white flowers, lemon, lime, […]

Thibaud Boudignon Anjou Blanc 2021
$95.00The Anjou Blanc is from old densely planted vines, rooted in shallow sand and schist soils. Aged for up to 18 months in 500L and Stockinger “cigar” barrels, 30% of which are new.
