Peter Lauer Riesling Fass 16 Trocken 2020

Another brilliant and unique wine from Peter Lauer. Incredible energy and intensity as you would expect from this producer, but there is a suppleness too, a softness in the mouth. White peach, grapefruit, cumquat,  zingy lemon and mint. The flavours dance around each other, and are perfectly integrated by soft acidity, silken texture and watercress/peppery close. This offers a pure and gorgeously cool nose of ginger, grapefruit and herbs. The wine starts off on the vibrant and zesty side on the palate, before a touch of smoothness kicks in which cuts right through the crisp finish.
