The Wanderer Macclesfield Chardonnay 2024

From a cool site at around 250m. Barrel fermented and matured in older oak. A light, bright green gold. An elegant expression with its bouquet of subtle stone fruits, pink grapefruit and acacia. This follows onto the gently textured, very even palate. The Wanderer Yellingbo Chardonnay 2025

A single-vineyard wine from Yellingbo in the Upper Yarra, barrel-fermented and matured in older French puncheons. Subtle aromas of nectarine, pink grapefruit and lemon curd. Beautifully balanced on a pure-fruited, delicate, chalky-textured and saline palate. Finishes nutty and long. Drink now and over the next four to five years. 95+ points – Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion 

 

The Wanderer Yellingbo Pinot Noir 2025

Grown in Yellingbo at 200m elevation in the Upper Yarra Valley. Fully destemmed. Bright crimson. A composed and pure-fruited nose of wild strawberry, pressed flowers and just a little cardamom. The palate is simultaneously generous and fine boned. Silky, persistent tannins round out a lovely wine to drink now and over the next six to eight years. The Wanderer Upper Yarra Pinot Noir 2025

From a single vineyard in Yellingbo in the Upper Yarra; 20% whole bunches, 20% new oak. Medium bright crimson. Fragrant and spicy aromas of red and black fruits, rose bush and a touch of allspice. The fruit has thoroughly swallowed up the oak. Medium bodied, with excellent depth and very persistent, fine-grained tannins. Finishes long. A super wine destined to improve over the next six to eight years. 97 points – Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion
