Swift NV Cuvee Brut

$45.00

53/32/15% pinot noir/chardonnay/pinot meunier based on the 2017 vintage with 14% reserve wines. Disgorged in October 2018; 4g/L dosage and 72 months lees ageing. White peach, pomelo skin and nashi pear. Cider apples, cherry blossoms and crushed chalk. Calippo-like freshness. Mouth-watering acidity with a wash of white stone minerality and sea spray. Plenty of tension and precision here, with a real pureness to the orchard fruit. 96 points – Shanteh Wale, Halliday Wine Companion

This is impressively fresh and youthful for a blend that has spent around six years on lees. Fruit drives the wine, with lemon/citrus aromas, honey notes and traces of flint, a whisper of bready development is all that reveals its age. Crisp and refreshing, refined and harmonious, without obvious sweetness, ensuring an appetising, more-ish taste. Excellent sparkling wine in a fresher, fruit-driven style. 94 points – Huon Hooke, The Real Review
