Very light yellow/straw colour with freshness and some aged complexities introducing a toasty element. The wine is very dry and rich, complex and deep, with incisive lemon, verbena/herbal and lightly toasty flavours of balance and charm. Appetising and high-energy. Long, refreshing finish. A very smart non-vintage wine. 95 Points, Huon Hooke – The Real Review

After a decade at Petaluma, Peter Dredge moved to Tasmania in 2010, spending five years as chief winemaker at Bay of Fires before launching Dr Edge in 2015. Focused on cool-climate Tasmanian Chardonnay and Pinot Noir – still wines and traditional method sparkling – the project sources fruit from select sites, including the Coal River Valley.
Dredge’s wines have quickly built a cult following: distinctive, expressive, and uncompromising in quality, with a style that’s as recognisable as the labels themselves.
