“A ripe and peppery nose of black cherry leads to rich, seductive and caressing flavors that possess a juicy mouthfeel that contrasts with the mildly rustic and sneaky long finish. To enjoy young for its fresh fruit and refreshing character. Drink 2025+” 86-88points – Allen Meadows, burghound.com – Apr 2024
“The 2022 Bourgogne Passetoutgrains is a blend of one-third Gamay and two-thirds Pinot Noir that is a representation of the vineyard. It has a pure, enticing bouquet with lovely blueberry and cassis scents. The palate is very well-balanced with a harmonious entry. The Pinot leads the way, and, you know, this might be the best Passetoutgrain I’ve tasted in Burgundy this vintage. Drink from 2024-2028.” 87-89 points – Neil Martin vinous.com Nov 2023

Hands down, the best value bistro wine we have tasted from anywhere. Sweet and tangy compote of red, blue and black fruits. Super bright palate, juicy, with gentle spice, refreshing acidity, silky mouthfeel and a squeeze of powdery tannins. Utterly drinkable, versatile and there’s a serious side too. Absolute bargain. Waters Wine Co Organic. Marcoux’s […]
Add to cart“68/32% cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc. Made from a vineyard planted in Steels Creek in ’81. 20% whole bunches. A medium, bright crimson. Dark cherry and blackberry fruit aromas intermingle with a little cedar, oyster shell and some whole-bunch derived floral notes. The medium-bodied palate is energetic and bright with quite chewy, long-chained tannins that bode well […]

Usually my favourite wine in the range and one for those in any doubt about the efficacy of blends. A 60/40 blend of Grenache and Shiraz. Essentially a barrel selection of the juiciest and brightest fruit for early drinking, but this will nevertheless cruise through 10 years and plenty more. Expressive, so McLaren Vale with […]
Read moreFrom the first whiff the Vat 8 waves the flag of Tyrrell’s and the Hunter Valley. Cola, blackcurrant, blackberry, cinnamon, coffee, milk chocolate, clove and violets. Full bodied, plush and lifted by Christmas cake spice and crunchy red fruits. Luxurious and round, with ripe tannins and soft acids. The most digestible Vat 8 of recent […]
