Stanton & Killeen Vintage Fortified 2015

Every vintage of this wine is seemingly great, but the 2015 has placed the Stanton & Killeen fortifieds in a new dimension. It’s deep and concentrated to be sure, yet it possesses a freshness and energy I have not tasted before. Prunes, dark chocolate, black and red fruits, ginger, amaro, Brazil nuts, licorice and the estate’s signature, floral notes. Incredibly intense, the sheer mass of fruit and rippling power making you almost forget that your’re tasting a fortified. The finish is so long, that it doesn’t. Waters Wine Co

Lush flavours of rhubarb, mulberry, chocolate, and liquorice with medium-grained drying tannins. It’s fresh and approachable now and will develop well into its third decade. Winemaker’s Notes
