Domenica Chenin Blanc 2025

$45.00

Light yellow, with apple and pear aromatics, a spicy overlay probably from the barrels, a hint of straw, and cashewnut as the wine warms in the glass. Light bodied and crisp, fresh, clean and refreshing, with again that green-apple acidity cleansing the finish. Very appealing and true to variety. 91 points, Huon Hooke – The Real Review

The 13 rows of Chenin Blanc were recently grafted onto vines planted in 2006. These are the closest vines to our winery on a south east facing slope of about ¾ acre. There was minimal irrigation in 2025.

A complex wine, with aromas of lemon zest and baking spices. Perfumed wild jasmine, snow pea tendril, delicate hints of candied peel and lemon curd. There are notes of wet rocks and native blossom. Medium-bodied and with great textural interest. Taut, crisp acid drives the wine and will reward those with the patience to cellar. Our second release, a wine of complex flavour and intrigue. Producer Profile

After 13 years honing his craft at his uncle Rick Kinzbrunner’s iconic Giaconda, Peter Graham set out on his own path, founding Domenica. Perched at 460 metres above sea level on a granite ridge that falls away to the south-west of Beechworth, the site is as striking as the wines it produces.

Domenica’s wines speak vividly of place. There’s a gripping mineral thread that frames the vitality of mature vines, with each variety chosen to articulate the character of the site. The approach in the winery is traditional and intuitive—taste over numbers, always. Indigenous yeasts drive fermentation, while pressings, solids and lees are embraced as essential elements in building texture and complexity. The wines are raised carefully in oak barriques and bottled unfiltered.

Authentic, expressive, and deeply considered – these are the real deal.
