Three 1er Crus combined: Combes (0.33 ha), Perrières (0.44 ha) and Les Creots (0.52ha) – made first time in 2016 due to the frost, ‘the name is from my maternal grandmother who died about the same time as the frost in 2016. We continue…’
‘This cuvee has been a blend of Perrières, Combes, Créots and PItangerets since 2016, all pressed and vinified together. The blend effectively covers all the possible exposures of St-Aubin. The bouquet is rather unforthcoming, though there is an attractive weight of white fruit on the palate, with more generosity at the finish. Drink from 2026-2030. (89-91) Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, October 2023.

Add to cart Producer: Christian MoreauThe coolest and highest site, providing the most angular and obviously structured of the chardonnays. Reductive notes of struck match, green apple, white peach , grapefruit, sweetened condensed milk, citrus blossom and white flowers. Cool tasting, spicy and long. A wine of linear shape and great drive. Some chalky minerality on the close adding textural, […]
Add to cart Producer: A RoddaScrewcap. Unusually for a Petit Chablis, which generally comes from the lower-lying sites on Portlandian limestone, the lion’s share of this cuvée is drawn from a parcel of Kimmeridgian-based soil. Yet it’s not necessarily the type of limestone but more the location that makes the difference. The small Defaix parcel is well situated on the […]
Add to cart Producer: Bernard DefaixImmense, proportioned Chardonnay, but with a tingling freshness to match the creamy, nutty spiciness. Full bodied, with yellow fruits, grapefruit, orange blossom, lime and lemon zest. Flinty and funky; slight savoury note and a moreish chewiness. For those who never fell out of love with Chardonnay. Waters Wine Co Expressive nose of white grapefruit, white […]
