100% single-vineyard Pipers River chardonnay produced in the traditional method by sparkling wine queen Natalie Fryar. Pale straw with a superfine, energetic bead and mousse. Notes of apple, white peach, nectarine and citrus fruits with underlying hints of clotted cream, sea spray, freshly baked brioche, clover blossom, dried shiitake, shortbread, creamed honey and crushed stone and shells. It’s so expressive yet there is a laser-like focus and tension between fruit and the mineral-laden acidity, the flavours stretching out long on the finish.
