Kerri Greens Pinots de Mornington Rose 2021

All grapes sourced from the Vaughan family vineyard in Tuerong, the fruit was left overnight without any additions before pressing in the cool of the following morning. Settled in tank, racked, leaving just the heaviest lees behind before being allowed to ferment wild in a mixture of tank (80%) and old French barriques (20%).

Following primary fermentation and without the addition of sulphur the wine was – as always – allowed to go through its secondary malolactic fermentation, delivering a creamy generosity – think fresh whipped – to go with the obvious moreish textural elements of the wine.

Primary fruit of the wine is delivered by its Pinots heritage, all those good wild forest fruits come along for the ride.
