Poggio Al Sole’s vineyards are set high and the site is relatively cool by Tuscan standards. Super fresh and vibrant, with pure, sweet red and black fruits, crushed flowers, bay leaf, black olive and tobacco. Lovely tension between savoury and sweet, and the volumes of fruit feel effortless. A supremely balanced wine of great, but not overt structure, the tannins textured, gripping. Serve with T-Bone. Norris at Waters Wine Co
Bright, ruby red, compact structure with delicate, multi-layered fruit. Classic aroma of Sangiovese grapes and a long-lasting finish. Manual harvest end of Sept./beginning of October. fermentation in stainless steel, maceration ca. 12-16 days, aged in used barrels and in tank, bottled in April. Producer’s notes
