Such gorgeous aromatics of blackcurrant, lavender, violets, plum and cherry liqueur. Rich, but in no way heavy, fleshy and lithe. There is always such tension and balance with the Cedre wines, and all of this achieved without any additions save a little Sulphur at bottling. Very long close, fresh and lively, the pumice like tannins purring, interwoven by pure fruit and precise acidity. This will have a very long drinking window, but is certainly approachable young. Norris at Waters Wine Co
This blend of Malbec with 5% Merlot is made in a style that is easy and ready to drink relatively young. A fruity wine, it’s full of black-currant and plum flavors, with fresh acidity at the end. The wine is ready now. 91 Points, Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
Made from a blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot from vines aged 25-30 years old. Fermented for a total of 20 days, with regular punch-downs for the first 3 or 4 days only. Malo-lactic conversion is carried out in tank, then matured for 16 months in concrete. Producer’s Notes
