Every wine in this box, is only ever released by Julian as part of the Lagen Kiste. Each box contains 1 bottle each of the following:
2023 Julian Haart Wintricher Ohligsberg Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben – white label – 99 Points, James Suckling
“Diamonds are forever. Incredible aromas of Amalfi lemons, wet stones and fresh mint are married to a breathtaking balance of ripeness and slatey brilliance. So focused that there’s no alternative to letting it pull you along with it through the overwhelmingly intense and pristine stony finish. From 100-year-old vines. Drink or hold.”
2023 Julian Haart Wintricher Ohligsberg Riesling Kabinett 1925 Wurzelecht – artist label – 99 Points, James Suckling
“Incredibly wild with a pronounced herbal intensity, this astonishing Mosel riesling Kabinett has an uncompromising minerality, but also spot-on balance in the no-man’s land between dry and off-dry. I love this wine’s dangerously high energy level. From 120-year-old vines. Drink or hold.”
2023 Julian Haart Wintricher Ohligsberg Riesling GG – 98 Points, James Suckling
“Welcome to a cave high on the side of a mighty mountain from which a spring flows over the edge of a cliff. Fantastic racy, brilliant and delicate smokiness, also notes of dried herbs and red gooseberries. So much drama, but every bit as much beauty in the extremely long and precise finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”
2023 Julian Haart Zellerweg am Schwarzen Herrgott Riesling GG – 100 Points, James Suckling
“Sometimes absolute greatness is easy to explain and understand, but that’s not always the case, as for example with this lightning strike from a clear blue sky. On the nose this is like being lowered into a smoke hole. The palate is extremely compact, yet somehow doesn’t break the upper limit of medium body. So deep that you feel like a geologist searching for the origin of the earth. So much wet stone character in the finish that you forget the world around you. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”
2023 Julian Haart Niederflorsheimer Frauenburg Riesling GG, 96 Points, James Suckling
“For a region best known for the roundness and generosity of its wines, this is a brilliant star. Effusive aromas of fresh lilacs and dried flowers. Somehow simultaneously rich, creamy, restrained and delicate, this is a long-distance runner that’s just set off on a long journey to prove itself. Very flinty finish with so much energy. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”
2023 Julian Haart Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling GG, 96 Points, James Suckling
“This very youthful dry Mosel riesling is a deep well of yellow, black and pink fruit aromas plus an entire dimension of green herb notes, Very pure and straight on the medium-bodied palate for a top site that easily tends in the baroque direction. This is bristling with energy and slatey acidity on the compact and racy palate. Long and bold finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”

Producer: Julian HaartLight straw colour with a reserved lemon/grapefruit aroma, fresh and penetrating, the palate brisk and bright with vibrant acidity and intense grapefruit/lemon flavours that persist the full length of the very long palate. Superb vitality and balance. It promises to reward cellaring too. Tremendously concentrated and compact, with extreme drive and massive persistence, it positively […]
Add to cart Producer: Leeuwin EstatePre-arrival due August Prüm’s 2015 Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese is clear, intense and flinty on the nose, very precise but well concentrated; however, it is the most reductive of the Spätlese quartet. Round and piquant, with a stimulating fruit and salinity, this is a very well-defined, crystalline and straight Spätlese of great finesse and elegance. It […]
Add to cart Producer: JJ PrumA very rare wine of utmost intensity and exceptional quality, rewarding careful cellaring. Duck Muck was first made by a stroke of luck. Some super-ripe Shiraz was picked from Wild Duck Creek’s Original Vineyard and made into wine, which didn’t quite fill a barrel. The barrel was then topped up with Alan’s Cabernet Pressings, being […]
Add to cart Producer: Wild Duck CreekThe 2017 Vat 6 Tyrrell’s Pinot Noir is gorgeous. It’s nervy and has that fabulous angular structure unique to Tyrrell’s. There is a complexity of flavour that I have not yet seen from this wine. Raspberry, strawberry and cranberry with hints of porcini mushroom and cured meat. There are also wonderful hints of oak spice […]
