White nectarine and crystallised honey, followed by the smell of a Hawaiian botanical garden on a hot day, think hundreds of ginger flowers filling the humid air with their perfume. There’s a depth to this wine that pulls you in and almost warms you with its golden hues; colour you can taste. At first sip, the wine coats the palate like a slow moving stream and just when you think it will stick to the sides, chalky phenolics and crunchy acidity pluck it from your cheeks. This slow moving stream has now hit a rapid and the liquid is building momentum, leaving you capsized and filled with the rush of adrenaline.
