Still very youthful on the nose, this is crammed with ripe peach, plus more delicate notes of pineapple and mangosteen. It’s a minor miracle that this kind of concentration can be packed into such a sleek, medium-bodied palate. What an amazing mouthfeel this has thanks to the seamless integration of slatey acidity and ripeness. Very long finish with spot-on balance. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. 97 points, James Suckling
While tightly wound in youth and too nervous to express itself fully, there’s a core of sun-drenched peach and yellow cherry lusciousness that pulsates from within here. It’s still subtle on the nose, but the palate can’t hide the intensity of fruit and swirls of honey and hibiscus nectar waiting to unfurl. Delicate sweetness is balanced by a lifting spray of minerality and a spine of laser-edged acidity. Hold until 2030 at least; it’s a wine to enjoy over decades.96 points, Decanter

From the upper storeys ,and therefore cooler, of the Brauneberger Juffer. Fine and tense palate with gorgeous stone and citrus fruits, gardenia and bergamot. Very lively palate, and the fruit is juicy, the structure linear and precise. Great vintage? Pretty close! Coiled perfection. Waters Wine Co

Oozing aromatics of blackcurrant, blackberry, mulberry, black cherry, prunes, dates, violets and mint. Luscious and full bodied, some clove and cinnamon, the spice […]
Add to cart Producer: Quinta Do NovalThe Römerstich location is Marcus Hees’ top Auen location. The 35-50 year old vines grow at an altitude of 280 metres on the typical slate-weathered soils of the region. Spontaneous fermentation, maturation 50% in stainless steel and 50% in the 500 litre Tonneau and 1200 litre Stockinger Fuder. The Rieslings from Römerstich are somewhat more generous and expressive than those […]
Add to cart Producer: HeesIt is difficult to describe, in decent terms, my salivation over a wine that is not only fabulous, but in relative terms, a ridiculous bargain. Extremely complex, yellow fruits, fresh citrus and preserved citrus. Lucid and creamy, the fruit pillowed if you like by soft, long acidity. Considering this is from Morstein, this is so […]
