Peter Lauer Petit Ayl Riesling Auslese 2018

Based on overripe and raisined grapes mostly from the Scheiterberg, the 2018 Auslese Petit Ayl is super ripe, intense and generous but clear and piquant on the nose where lemon zest and flinty notes intermingle. On the palate, this is a mouth-filling, piquant, refreshing and very digestible Auslese with an intense, lemon-fresh and piquant finish. Gorgeous but still far too young.
