Julian Haart Goldtropfchen Riesling Spatlese 2023
$165.00
Here is all the baroque beauty of this great Goldtröpfchen site. The cornucopia of yellow fruit, berries, flowers and floral honey would demand several paragraphs for an adequate description. Incredible finesse and subtlety on the medium-bodied palate, the wine hopping, skipping and jumping for joy. Then comes the incredible stony power in the compact and very focused finish. Drink or hold. 98 Points, Stuart Pigott

Tyrrell’s HVD Chardonnay 2025
$100.00A compelling chardonnay from one of the world’s great old vineyards. The palate is pure, ethereal and expansive, with freshness, energy and concentration. There is a tightly coiled core of lemony fruit giving fabulous tension. Youthful and unevolved right now, it is poised for greatness. Sensational fruit, expertly made. 97+ points – Toni Paterson, Halliday […]

Reed White Heart Riesling 2023
$35.00A remarkable feinherb style. Tangy, tense and lithe with very high levels of natural acidity balanced by gentle sweetness. Flesh and zest of lime, grapefruit, white flowers, lemon, cumquat and tangerine. The acidity and salty minerality lend a sort of chisel and muscularity. This is certainly approachable now, but ideally better in a year or […]

Grosset Alea Riesling 2024
$45.00Alea holds some additional sweetness as its canon. There’s an appealing and ultra-high drinkability here. Charm in spades. Floral scents of frangipani and lemon blossom with candied ginger, lime juice, just-ripe pineapple and tonic water. Similar to taste with a slipperiness to texture that feels well metered by the building crispness of the finish. More […]
