Météore is the Domaine’s core wine and hails from a 60:40 blend of Gros and Petit Manseng. Naturally fermented, this wine saw a six-month élevage in neutral wood with bâttonage to add texture and depth.
Full of tension and focus, this is the juicier, more perfumed of the two dry whites. It’s spring loaded with agile ripe lemon and zesty white peach fruit tethered to a searingly firm, saline acid line. While by a margin this is Clos Larrouyat’s largest cuvée, it should not hang around long.
