A blend of Narvaux in purchased grapes, Luchets in young vines which they manage, and Malpoiriers, Fresh pale lemon. The bouquet is very stylish, the refined side of Meursault, but also promising the body one would expect. Surprisingly firm acidity, citrus in style, this wine will benefit from longer elevage. Drink from 2027-2032. (89-92) Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, October 2023.
From vines planted 1970’s located quite high on the slope on the Puligny side of Meursault. In 2019 this comes from 3 lieu-dits; Narvaux, Grands Charrons and Les Vireuils.

Screwcap. Unusually for a Petit Chablis, which generally comes from the lower-lying sites on Portlandian limestone, the lion’s share of this cuvée is drawn from a parcel of Kimmeridgian-based soil. Yet it’s not necessarily the type of limestone but more the location that makes the difference. The small Defaix parcel is well situated on the […]

Sourced from vines planted in 1987, the juice is whole bunch pressed into French oak, 10% new, for 9 months. Quite a contemporary style with tangy grapefruit, citrus, white flowers, cream and subtle oak. Lively, and zesty, with unctuous fruit, reductive notes, oak and zingy […]
Add to cart Producer: Meadowbank“The 2022 Meursault Village is ample and generous, wafting from the glass with notes of pear, clear honey, green apple and bread dough. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a rich core of fruit girdled by lively acids, it concludes with a saline finish.” 90-92 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate “The 2022 Meursault […]
Add to cart Producer: Henri GermainThe lieux-dit of Les Chevalieres is situated above the village of Meursault. Above is the lieux-dit of Les Luchets, which produces a higher toned, more tensile wine. I can’t help but think that this is ideally situated, in a sense, mid-slope, the perfect aspect in Burgundy. Impossibly complex, with notes of white flowers, lemon, lime, […]
