A fine pale lemon. The bouquet is delicious, refined gentle orchard fruit, with a little reduction too, quite refined citrus notes, but pure white fruit too. This is not a massive Morgeot, though there is adequate structure behind. Drink from 2028-2034. (91-94) Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, October 2023.
From 2 parcels; Fairendes and Abbaye de Morgeot. Half of the vines in “Les Fairendes” were planted in 1964 and the remainder in 1974. This parcel has deeper soil where rocks break the surface. Up-slope, the stony red soil is shallow but gets deeper lower down the slope where the soil is white, heavy, compacted and clayey.

From ten small parcels of 20-60 year old vines. Les Tremblot, (“more Puligny in character, as the soil is argileous,” says Jean-Louis); Les Meix, Les Levrons (more rounded wine for there are more stones and gravel here and it is not so heavy), Corvée des Vignes and Les Reuchaux. These small vineyard holdings are all […]

Still very primary and super intense with pastry notes, butter, apple, almond cream, lavender, honey, grapefruit, lemon, lime, white peach and cinnamon. Fantastic intensity with great vibrancy, the acidity so lively […]

We continue…’ ‘This cuvee has been a blend of Perrières, Combes, Créots and […]
Add to cart Producer: Pierre-Yves Colin-MoreyFrom 0.146 ha of vines planted in 1986 which were purchased by Jean-Louis. “Has a lifted mineral nose with subtle scents of honeysuckle and almond, certainly endowed with the vigour one expects from this vineyard. The palate is fine, harmonious and svelte on the entry. This is a Perrieres demonstrating typical fine mineral nuance, though […]
