From 1 Ha planted in1968 from 3 leu dit; Vignes Blanches, Cargouillot and Marcausse, which are all near the Volnay border. Whole-cluster pressing pressed, cold settling, indigenous yeast fermentation in barrel, racking. Aged for 12 months, fined/filtered if necessary.
‘The 2022 Meursault Village comes from a blend of three vineyards located just below Santenots-du-Milieu, aged in used oak barrels and racked at the end of August, to be bottled next spring. It has a well-defined bouquet with crushed stone and hazelnut scents infusing the orchard fruit. The palate is fresh on the entry with a touch of white pepper mixed with orange rind, dovetailing into a lively, slightly menthol-tinged finish. Kind of a “fun” Meursault. Drink 2025-2038. Tasted Oct 2023 (89-91) points, Neal Martin, Vinous.com
‘Aromas of sweet flowers, almond paste and buttered pears preface the 2022 Meursault Village, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine that’s rich and generous.’ 88-90 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate Jan 2024
‘Pale in colour, not much nose, a thicker, almost oily texture, again a touch of liquorice, this time with good acidity and certainly some length. Drink from 2026-2030. Tasted Dec 2023. Drink from 2026-2030.’ 87-89 points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

Wines of elegance and finesse; structure and complexity. And very limited. “With high natural acidity we decided to put a few more of the […]

Entirely from a single block, two clones of Chardonnay were sourced from Block 4, which resides on an east-facing slope with views back towards the Clarence House homestead and Mt Rumney. Picked in the first days of April, whole-bunch pressed and allowed to ferment wild in a combination of tank and old French oak puncheons. […]

A great vintage for By Farr Chardonnay, although every vintage seems pretty great! The lusciousness and richness is dialled up, without any loss of freshness. Creamy with cashew, yellow peach, spring jasmine, wood spice and nougat beautifully interwoven. A wine for flavour fetishists, utterly palate coating. Textured, with dry extract – the mid palate, bursting […]

Complex and highly lifted aromas of citrus blossom, Meyer lemon and white nectarine combine with gun smoke and freshly grilled nuts. The palate is soft and full yet refined and complex, driven by fine acidity that flows into a creamy, velvety texture. The finish is round yet precise leaving a sensation that is long and […]
