J&S Fielke Piccadilly Chardonnay 2025

This wine comes from the Swaby vineyard, which trainspotters will recognise from the BK Wines stable. This is a more tightly wound offering than the Lenswood from the Fielke family winery. It’s very minerally, laced with citrusy acidity, crunch of red apple juice, with flickers of sugared almond, puffs of talc, flinty mineral characters and a chime of sweet spice. It feels quite coiled up, almost racy in a way, but for a lick of juiciness and a slippery apple freshness to finish. Elegant, refined style, done very well. 95 Points – Halliday Wine Companion
