A genuine Clos, enclosed by dry stone walls. One of the finest vineyards in St-Aubin and Hubert Lamy owns 1.25 hectares of it. Clos de la Chateniere is a limestone rich, steep and rocky vineyard. Facing full south, it is ideally exposed. The wine tends to very mineral but with loads of flesh and fruit density. White flowers, stone fruits, lemon and limes. Similar to Puligny, but with more of a salty, mineral charge. Gorgeous. Waters Wine, February 2019
Outstanding. An admirably pure and cool array exhibits distilled notes of green apple, citrus and white floral nuances. There is good mid-palate density to the rich and relatively round flavors that exude both salinity and minerality on the long if ever-so-slightly less complex finale. 90-92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound, Issue 71
