A fine pale yellow. Beautiful elegance to the nose. Such refinement in a vineyard which isn’t really known for it. There is a steely core, enough flesh from the clay, adequate acidity and a fine stylish finish. Drink from 2028-2035. (92-94) Jasper Morris M.W., Inside Burgundy, October 2023
From vines planted 2009 located in the middle of this vineyard just below Caillerets south of the village. More clay and less stones have helped these younger vines in the warm years. This the fifth year with a longer (vs the villages) elevage like the other 1ers.

Warmer conditions yielding bolder flavours this year, […]

From a 12-row block of P58 clone planted in ’76. Matured in French hogsheads and puncheons (40% new); 70% mlf. A very bright green gold. Interestingly, this is the most restrained and subtle of Bannockburn’s ’25 chardonnays, and, no surprise, also the most complex. Aromas of perfectly ripened stone fruits, orange pith and lemongrass precede […]

Only a tiny amount of this wine is made each year, and very little ever leaves Tasmania. It’s a pure, confident expression of site – built to reward patience in the cellar. Aromatically, it opens with white peach, and sweet citrus notes. The palate is taut and zingy, carrying through long on the finish. Oak […]

Diam. Not all Petit Chablis is created equal! Moreau’s Petit Chablis comes from a single 2.5-hectare site between Courgis and Beine, just outside Chablis on the route to Auxerre. It has a southwest orientation and lies on Kimmeridgian soils (as opposed to the higher Portlandian soils on which most Petit is grown). Half of the plot […]
