Pure Tasmanian – 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir. Palest gold. Complex and inviting aromas of strawberries and cream, lightly toasted hazelnuts, ginger spice and honeysuckle. It surrounds the palate with full, ripe fruit, the flavours gaining confidence with each sip. Winemaker’s Notes
A blend of 60/40% chardonnay/pinot noir from a single-vineyard in Pipers River produced in the traditional method, aged for three years on lees and a further six months on cork before release. Pale straw with a fine, lively bead and mousse. Stony, dry and impeccably focused, with notes of white peach, lemon and green apple fruits. Hints of soft spice, lemon curd, sea spray, crushed riverstone, almond blossom, mushroom broth, fresh pastries and ozone. There’s a flair of lemon and soft spice on the palate. The wine travels in a precise fashion with a curl of umami, minerals and brioche marking its passage. 95 points – Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion 2021 Vintage
