What a trio – Beechworth sangiovese and cabernet and Alpine Valleys aglianico – and the meeting is a seductive, wild red fruit fest for the senses. Dusty, earthy, morello cherries, cracked pepper and almond fragrance. Savoury, floral redcurrant, cherry and almond meal notes guide the palate, showing plenty of crunch and energy along the way. Made from Sangiovese and Cabernet grapes from Beechworth; and Aglianico grapes from our Alpine Valleys vineyard. The fruit was destemmed and crushed, then pressed. Settled juice was transferred to puncheon where fermentation took place using indigenous yeasts. This wine is made in our traditional style – crisp and fresh. Lifted red and dark cherry fruits on the nose. perfect for summer drinking.
