The rosé 2021 Gratallops Vi de Villa Rosat was produced with a majority (70% to 80%) in the Planassos part between Mogador and Manyetes of Garnacha, Macabeo and Cariñena plus the grapes from younger vines (Mogador, Nelin…). It has a bright salmon color and a very different and characterful nose, savory, reminiscent of chicken broth (salty!), herbal and super tasty. It’s quite direct, with 13.5% alcohol and very good freshness, a bit atypical for Priorat, very long, precise, clean and dry. This matured in a 2,000-liter 10-year-old oak foudre for 18 months. They produced some 3,000 bottles. Brilliant! 94 Points, Robert Parker – Wine Advocate

Light, brilliant orange. Expansive, mineral-accented blood orange, red currant and nectarine aromas are complemented by suggestions of succulent herbs, honey and lavender. Sappy, chewy and penetrating on the palate, offering densely packed red berry, pit fruit and floral flavors underscored by a vein of chalky minerality. Smoothly plays power off finesse and finishes minerally and […]

The consistent elements of Redskin lolly are there, with strawberries, cream, some bittering grapefruit rind balance, a brush of garrigue herbs, all wrapped up in a slightly oily, generous texture. Vintage 2023 […]

Strawberry, raspberry, cherries and cream. Full flavoured and bright, packed with energy and zingy orange rind driving the finish. Absolutely lovely. Waters Wine Co

My absolute favourite grenache producer in Australia, demolishing all cliches and stereotypes of South Australian grenache and red wines in general. It’s hard to believe that he (Mark Bulman) used to make Turkey Flat rose, the wines are so different. Pale in colour, refreshing, crisp and dry. Red summer fruits, sweet and tangy, with a […]
