Aromatic and very complex. A compote of black, blue and red fruits, vanilla, lavender, cinnamon and clove. Sweet and savoury fruit, there is always greater intensity and stronger frame than the Vat 8. Medium to full bodied, muscular and crunchy, with terrific detail and layered flavours. Builds across the palate, and is a real feast for the senses. Five years would not do this any harm at all, but ten years would be better. Great wine. Waters Wine Co
A reversion to delicacy. An homage to a noble past of sappy, savoury Hunter Burgundy, as it was once known. With this, there has been an adoption of larger-format oak, less agitation, and with that, superior tannin management. The result, sappy, floral, detailed and dangerously drinkable. Violet, dark cherry, clove, liquorice straps and a sachet of spice. Yet the texture is the totem. And it is sumptuous. 95 Points – Ned Goodwin, Halliday Wine Companion

Mid weighted, savoury and highly suggestive of the northern Rhône. Aromas of mace, clove, dill pickle, salumi and spiced cherry. Yet there is nothing hard to the tannins or too challenging for those seeking […]

Abundant plum and dark cherry fruits, baking spices, licorice, dark chocolate and earth. Tight, fine tannin support and a deep, savoury resonance to its tail. 91 […]
Add to cartAlways the most overtly structured of the Yeringberg offerings, the 2018 vintage Shiraz has a tannic presence rarely seen in Australia. Medium bodied, tightly wound, and needing vigorous coaxing, when it does finally appear, the intensity of entry is worth the wait. Gripping the mouth with firm, coating tannins offering red fruits, blueberry, lavender, camphor, […]
