Dijon clone pinot noir (115, 114, 777 and Abel) from the Huon Valley, destemmed, 12 months in French oak, 42% new. Bright mid-ruby with detailed aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry fruits, hints of Medina spice, struck flint, nicely integrated nutty oak, leaf litter, dried meats, wildflowers, poached rhubarb and earth. It shows some delicacy and fine detail on the palate with a spacious, savoury mouthfeel. Finely spiced with powdered riverstone tannins and a sweep of cherry-skin acidity. 96 points – Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
The 2024 Dijon Clones Pinot Noir is delicate and floral, detailed and fine, with a long spool of mineral flavor and texture through the middle palate and finish. This is savory, leaning more into pomegranate molasses, new leather, cocoa, etc. alongside the rose petals and shaved fennel/licorice to close. The fruit here is all destemmed, and the tannins feel sleek rather than spicy. These are detailed, beautiful, ethereal Pinots here. 12.8% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. 95 points – Erin Larkin, The Wine Advocate
