The Lamarche Echézeaux comes from three lieux-dits: Les Cruots ou Vignes Blanches, Clos-Saint-Denis, and Les Champs Traversins. Altogether these parcels make up about 1.3 hectares of vines with an average age of 30 years. Nicole Lamarche works with very low yields here, which, alongside the Domaine’s delicate extraction, results in a superb expression of this terroir. Of this cuvée, Jasper Morris has written, “… [it] has almost as much to offer as the Grands Echézeaux. True, the latter has greater weight and power, but the Echézeaux… is particularly elegant in its immaculate, lacy style.” Another very fairly priced grand cru.
Fine bright crimson purple. The bouquet awaits future development. There is considerable weight of fruit starting at the front of the palate, an elegance in the fruit profile, but a feeling that there is more detail to be shown later. A leaner finish after the relatively velvety texture of the wine across the palate, as there is a touch more acidity here. 93-96 points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy

Add to cart Producer: Michel LafargeLe Dessus de Montchenevoy is located above the famed Savigny 1er Cru Aux Guettes. It’s a west-facing site on white soils that sits at an altitude of 350 metres and is surrounded by trees. The altitude and cool air from the forest help moderate the climate here, resulting in slow ripening and flavour development, while […]
Add to cart Producer: ChanterevesThis is a beguiling and dreamy wine. Translucent, deep ruby/magenta with a harmonious bouquet of dark, jubey fruit, subtle florals, spicy rolling tobacco and wet stone. The nose certainly promises a lot and the palate delivers in spades. Smooth, soft, full and ripe – red and dark cherries mingle with chalky, ultra-fine tannins with enough […]

As always, the fruit for this wine comes from the plateau at Daix, near Marsannay. The vines sit at 400 metres, which brings freshness and purity. The very low yields contribute remarkable depth and age-worthiness. Even at this level, over 60% bunches were included, and only 5% new oak. This has always been a brilliant […]
