A 0.66 plot lanted in 1949, 1964, 2012 Clay/limestone gravelly soil with red clay. 100% de-stemmed, not crushed, ambient yeast fermentation, aged in barrels (0-15% new), no fining, no filtration.
‘ The 2021 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru has an attractive nose with crushed strawberry and raspberry scents, becoming more floral in the glass with aeration. The palate is lively with a fine backbone, slightly chalky in texture with a stern, minerally, quasi-Pommard-like finish. Give it a couple of years in bottle. Promising. Drink 2024-2038’ (89-9) points, Neal Martin, Vinous Jan 2023
‘Unwinding in the glass with aromas of plums, raspberries and peony, the 2021 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Aigrots is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a layered, enveloping mid-palate and a saline finish.’ (90-92) points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate Feb 2023
‘Glowing purple with a magically refined nose, showing a bit of hillside but with plenty of ripe fruit on the bones. Significant weight on the plate, a touch more austerity at the finish, more red fruit than black, very fine indeed. Tasted: October 2021.’ 91-94 points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
‘ A super-fresh nose freely offer up is essence of red cherry that is trimmed in a beautiful array of floral elements. There is a pungent minerality to the attractively textured, plump and punchy medium weight flavors that conclude in a linear, youthfully austere and bitter pit fruit-inflected finish. This is firm enough to offer up to a decade of improvement. Drink 2029+ ’ OUTSTANDING! 90-93 points, BURGHOUND.COM APR 2024

Beautiful pinot noir from Castle Rock, tasted alongside several older vintages, affirming their great aging potential. A difficult hot year 2023, it’s had to believe that such as pure, supple and translucent wine could be forged from such difficulty. Medium bodied, with the black and hedge fruits mashed with licorice, mace, fennel, pink peppercorns and […]
Add to cartThis is a beguiling and dreamy wine. Translucent, deep ruby/magenta with a harmonious bouquet of dark, jubey fruit, subtle florals, spicy rolling tobacco and wet stone. The nose certainly promises a lot and the palate delivers in spades. Smooth, soft, full and ripe – red and dark cherries mingle with chalky, ultra-fine tannins with enough […]
Add to cart Producer: Home HillSleek, polished and precise. The ‘22 RP is a beautiful garnet colour in the glass. The nose is small red fruits; cranberry, raspberry, red cherry, wedded to loads of spice. Savoury notes of cornichon, a pretty note of red petals all tie in this wonderfully complex wine. Notes of Cola which sounds weird, but I […]
Add to cart Producer: By FarrLe Dessus de Montchenevoy is located above the famed Savigny 1er Cru Aux Guettes. It’s a west-facing site on white soils that sits at an altitude of 350 metres and is surrounded by trees. The altitude and cool air from the forest help moderate the climate here, resulting in slow ripening and flavour development, while […]
