A huge pinot noir and of a style that as far as i know, i have only tasted from Central Otago. Intense in every way. all the elements dialled up. Soaring aromatics of blackcurrant, blackberry, mulberry, sweet raspberry, licorice and dark chocolate. Dense, deep, concentrated and chewy, the fruit exuberant and glossy. Round and curvaceousness, with a very deep, baking spice laden core, the tannins ripe and juicy. Dripping in flavour and presence, not inelegant for all that, like a 3 day old Black Forest Gateau, with all the flavours and elements seeping into each other. Strap in folks! Waters Wine Co
Intense wine that is on the dark side with concentrated flavours that suggest black fruits, cacao powder, liquorice and anise supported by sweet, chewy tannins A wine of substance and of promise. Time will add new layers to an already tantalisingly complex wine. 97 Points – Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review
A rather smoky red on the nose with earthy, shiitake mushroom, lead pencil, dark cherry and strawberry aromas and flavors. Full-bodied and layered with lots of cloves and black pepper. Only the second bottling here. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. 96 Points – Jamessuckling.com

It is one of the star climats of the AOC and has been earmarked for promotion to 1er Cru (when Marsannay finally gets some!). Longeroies faces south, […]

This is a beguiling and dreamy wine. Translucent, deep ruby/magenta with a harmonious bouquet of dark, jubey fruit, subtle florals, spicy rolling tobacco and wet stone. The nose certainly promises a lot and the palate delivers in spades. Smooth, soft, full and ripe – red and dark cherries mingle with chalky, ultra-fine tannins with enough […]

“The aromas of this red are rather endless, with rose petals, rose stems, strawberries, sliced oranges, crabapples and hints of white pepper and peaches. Medium-bodied with depth of fruit. intensity and crushed stone flavors. Linear, racy and vibrant, with brightness and energetic length. From vineyards planted in 1932. 11.2% alcohol. Drink or hold.” – 98 […]
