Deeper in colour than the RP, and upon pouring you cannot help but notice how different the two wines are. Savoury Indian spices, dried flowers, fresh compost, Serrano, cherry, rhubarb, plum and a certain amaro quality. Fleshy and pure, texturally complex, from silk to velvet to black tea tannin. Absolutely on another level to almost any Australian pinot noir, and unmatched in its individuality. This is unashamedly Australian, and I love the fact that whilst bearing all the varietal hallmarks you could hope for, this is not Burgundy, but pinot from Geelong. Such a long finish, not driven, but long on flavour, holding for minutes. Waters Wine Co
These two Pinots share a symmetry. There’s recognisable DNA from the house of Farr that’s undeniable, something that’s becoming more exclusive in modern wine making. The concept of tasting a wine and being able to tell who made it, is more and more uncommon. Thankfully, that’s never been an issue from the Farrs. The difference between the two Pinots comes primarily from the site within the property, trellising and handling. Tout Pres, from its miniature and densely packed vines delivers a wine of greater density of palate too. That fuller texture gives the wine more richness, palate weight and more noticeable softness. The Tout Prés has more sweet perfume, aromatic wood and more toasty, chocolate and mocha warmth, yet follows the path of brilliant freshness and expressive tension.’ Ben Knight for Nick Farr
“A little lighter in crimson purple and showing a touch of oak now. Quite powerful, not quite so harmonious but note that this has been tasted directly after the sublime Nuits-St-Georges Aux Boudots. Actually, this is a fine and nicely nuanced Vosne-Romanée.” 90-93 points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy “There is a very pretty, perfumed and high-toned […]

Add to cart Producer: Nicole LamarcheLight in colour, with scents of an English Summer. Sweet strawberry, raspberry and cherry, with star anise, clove and fennel seeds. Silky, sappy, supple and mineral, very gentle mouthfeel, but totally immersing the palate in flavour. Beautifully toned wine, the fruit so fresh and pure. But it’s the lightness I love, the gentleness and ballerina […]

Superb classic floral pinot nose. Fills the […]
