Named for Robyn Pamela Farr, the matriarch behind the Farr dynasty, RP is a wine with both substance and soul. Robyn’s contribution extends far beyond unwavering support of Gary’s four-decade career. She planted the vines, drove the tractors, filled barrels and pigeaged at midnight. Whatever the job, whatever the hour, Mum has always been the one they call.
Sourced from the exposed, densely planted slopes of the Côte Vineyard, RP is Pinot Noir of concentration, polish and quiet authority. Darker and silkier in profile, it unfurls with ripe cherry, sour cherry and warm spice, layered with cocoa and a haunting perfume. Fine, talc-like tannins give way to a satin-smooth palate, seamless yet powerful, with freshness and detail that build with time in the glass.
A wine of depth, elegance and extraordinary persistence, RP reveals another facet with every passing hour. A fitting tribute to the woman at the heart of it all.

The nose certainly promises a lot and the palate delivers in spades. Smooth, soft, full and ripe – red and dark cherries mingle with chalky, ultra-fine tannins with enough […]

It has a pretty bouquet with raspberry and wild strawberry scents very pure. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit and fine tannins with a slightly leafy finish. This is delightful. 86-88 points – Vinous, Neal Martin I head back down to his small cellar to taste through a splendid set of 2021s. […]

Francois is passionate about the quality of the Beaune appellation, particularly some of the more regarded sites such as Clos de Mouches, Les Montrevenots and this 1er Cru, Champs Pimont. The exposition of Francois’ grower is East, but the 1er Cru does rotate round to the South parts. He used punchdowns in 2020 ferments as […]
