For us, this is the easiest wine to drink now. Predominantly red fruits, flowers and very pretty. There is such an easy way about this wine that one can forget how serious it is. The palate is even and integrated, everything in its place. Red fruits, a touch of blueberry, thyme and coal smoke. The tannins are so soft and cashmere like. Persistent and framing but perfectly balanced and threaded into the fabric of the wine. Waters Wine Co
The 2022 Fleurie has a beautifully defined nose with wonderful mineralité like Foillard’s other cuvées, surfeited with energy. There’s real purity and panache. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of mulberry on the entry and fine depth, lightly spiced with a vibrant and persistent finish tinged with curry leaf. This is a Fleurie from the top drawer. Excellent. 2026 – 2036. 92 Points – Vinous
100% Gamay from vines planted on soils of pink granitic sand. Jean has farmed organically from the beginning but has never sought certification. As for the rest, it’s tradition at work: harvesting by hand, vinification of whole bunches, cold carbonic maceration, 9 months of maturation in barrels that have seen several wines, no filtration, and just a light dose of sulphites during racking.

Wild, sensual and exotic. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, blood plum, lavender and marzipan. Tangy red fruits dominate the palate, but it’s rhubarb that coats it, gifting the wine length and layered texture. Mineral as always, the plum skin and rhubarb texture giving way to velvet. Playful, absorbing. Waters Wine Co Click here for our full […]

Now we enter the realm of Bouland’s spectacular, terroir-specific Morgons. This particular wine is the first of two cuvées that focus on Corcelette’s sandy, granitic soils. This soil generates wines of great perfume and finer, rounder tannins than those of Morgon’s more schist-influenced terroirs. Like all Bouland’s wines this was whole-bunch fermented with indigenous yeasts […]
Read more Producer: Daniel BoulandLight straw colour with a reserved lemon/grapefruit aroma, fresh and penetrating, the palate brisk and bright with vibrant acidity and intense grapefruit/lemon flavours that persist the full length of the very long palate. Superb vitality and balance. It promises to reward cellaring too. Tremendously concentrated and compact, with extreme drive and massive persistence, it positively […]
Add to cart Producer: Leeuwin EstateFrom 0.146 ha of vines planted in 1986 which were purchased by Jean-Louis. “Has a lifted mineral nose with subtle scents of honeysuckle and almond, certainly endowed with the vigour one expects from this vineyard. The palate is fine, harmonious and svelte on the entry. This is a Perrieres demonstrating typical fine mineral nuance, though […]
