One of Australia’s great cabernets. This from a cooler season highlights and accentuates the typical bright red fruits and blue fruit mix, especially on the nose. It’s aromatic and perfumed with an African violet scent. The palate as always is so exquisitely balanced and refined. Since 1989 the cabernet has been augmented with the floral bright fruit of cabernet franc and the darker robust black fruits of petit verdot. The palate delivers with a gentle restraint yet there is power deep within. The chalky tannins define a long and focused finish. A deceptive medium bodied wine that will cellar for many years. 98 points, Ray Jordon.

Essence of cabernet, hard country style. Complexity dialled up, the savoury fruit and textural elements roped tight as if it’s going to take a lot of muscle to prise them loose. Blackcurrant, mulberry, blackberry, black olive, licorice, pink peppercorns, soy and cumin. Concentrated and deep, the tannins providing great width, focus and envelopment. Would love […]
Add to cart Producer: Joshua CooperAre blends better than single varietals? This Cabernet Syrah would certainly stoke the fires of debate, and I would have loved the opportunity to taste the unblended varietals. Very refined, in the claret vein, balanced poised, powerful and graceful. Stunning flavours of violets, plum, blackcurrant, raspberry, tobacco and cream. Terrific shape, across an even plane, […]

Deep and vibrant colour, with soaring, glorious aromatics of black fruits, lavender and wood spice. Full bodied, full of vigour and strength, with savoury herbs, licorice, camp fire, creme de cassis, dark […]
