Cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot; matured for 15 months in French oak (45% new). Superb colour, the bouquet a wondrously complex mix of cassis, earth, tapenade and black olive, all fused into a magically woven palate with tightly furled tannins. 98 Points, Halliday’s Top 100 Wines of 2021
87% Cabernet sauvignon, with 7/3/2/1% merlot/cabernet franc/malbec/petit verdot. Matured for 15 months in barrique, 45% new. Cassis and red licorice on the nose, bay and salt bush, too. The palate is salty and fine with layers upon layers of spice and texture. The tannins are like finely textured gills, stacked as delicately as the folds in a mushroom. The length of flavour unfurls and extends across the palate, taking so long to fade that this entire tasting note is possible off one sip. The rest are just for pleasure. Drink it now, or in 40+ years from now… both will be possible. 98 Points, Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion 2022

From a vineyard planted in 1998 and only 170 dozen produced. This is a terrific follow up to the 2020, finer, sleeker and deeper. Classic Margaret River nose with blackcurrant, plum, blackberry, blueberry, cigar box and geraniums. High toned, with a refined intensity that is positively mouthwatering and succulent all at the same time. Terrific […]
Add to cart100% Cabernet Sauvignon from 1960s planted vines situated in Vine Vale, Barossa Valley. Currently tended to by Wayne Ahrens and Suzie Hilder. The label, much like the wine, is a nostalgic throwback to some labels of old and features the heritage listed church that we use as our winery and sometimes cellar door – “Oddio” in […]
Add to cart Producer: Frederick StevensonBarossa Valley Cabernet is one of our great underrated wine styles. Curator’s effort is very cabernet and as it should be, very Barossa. Deep and vibrant colour, with soaring, glorious aromatics of black fruits, lavender and wood spice. Full bodied, full of vigour and strength, with savoury herbs, licorice, camp fire, creme de cassis, dark […]
Add to cart Producer: Curator Wine CoOne of Australia’s great cabernets. This from a cooler season highlights and accentuates the typical bright red fruits and blue fruit mix, especially on the nose. It’s aromatic and perfumed with an African violet scent. The palate as always is so exquisitely balanced and refined. Since 1989 the cabernet has been augmented with the floral […]
