Cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot; matured for 15 months in French oak (45% new). Superb colour, the bouquet a wondrously complex mix of cassis, earth, tapenade and black olive, all fused into a magically woven palate with tightly furled tannins. 98 Points, Halliday’s Top 100 Wines of 2021
87% Cabernet sauvignon, with 7/3/2/1% merlot/cabernet franc/malbec/petit verdot. Matured for 15 months in barrique, 45% new. Cassis and red licorice on the nose, bay and salt bush, too. The palate is salty and fine with layers upon layers of spice and texture. The tannins are like finely textured gills, stacked as delicately as the folds in a mushroom. The length of flavour unfurls and extends across the palate, taking so long to fade that this entire tasting note is possible off one sip. The rest are just for pleasure. Drink it now, or in 40+ years from now… both will be possible. 98 Points, Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion 2022

Essence of cabernet, hard country style. Complexity dialled up, the savoury fruit and textural elements roped tight as if it’s going to take a lot of muscle to prise them loose. Blackcurrant, mulberry, blackberry, black olive, licorice, pink peppercorns, soy and cumin. Concentrated and deep, the tannins providing great width, focus and envelopment. Would love […]

Medium bodied, elegant and gently fleshy with silky, persistent tannins to match. 95 Points – Halliday Wine Companion Complex cedar, spice and briar notes dominate the nose, […]
Add to cart Producer: Crawford River“The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon springs from a most glorious season in Western Australia (WA), and in particular, Margaret River. I judged at eight wine shows last season, six of which had classes of wines from Western Australia in 2023. It is my estimation that 2023 was a vintage that extracted the very best from every […]

The label, much like the wine, is a nostalgic throwback to some labels of old and features the heritage listed church that we use as our winery and sometimes cellar door – “Oddio” in […]
