From estate grown and purchased fruit, Jasper Hill’s Lo Stesso fiano is one of the country’s best. White flowers, pawpaw, creamy and spicey aromatics. Displays all the versatility of fiano, with a lovely pumice-like texture, juicy white and yellow peach, rhubarb, fig, quince and cardamon. Beautifully balanced, a harmonised seam of acidity freshens, brightens and energises. Very long in the mouth. If this was another white varietal like chardonnay, it would be double the price. A fantastic bargain. Norris at Waters Wine Co
A blend of 50% estate grown fruit and 50% purchased regional fruit, fermented in a combination of new French oak and stainless steel. Pale yellow colour. Subtle fruit aromas and a palate of pear, citrus and honey, finishing with waxy hazelnut and spice. Over time this luscious wine develops quince and baked apple flavours with enough natural acid to balance the viscous, textured mouthfeel. Ready to enjoy now. Screw-cap sealed, 13.5% alcohol.

But make no mistake; this “entry” level Sancerre is very serious indeed. Medium bodied, sleek, mineral and mouthwatering. White peach lemon, lemon zest, green apple and savoury spice. Tense and pulsating, without the textural pillow of the more expensive […]

Lambert’s stimulating Crudo Chardonnay hails from the east/northeast-facing slope on the Denton vineyard’s cone-shaped site. The vines are now 22 years old, sitting on expressive soils of granitic sand over heavy granite boulders. The fruit was pressed as bunches and vinified entirely in tank. The wine went through full malolactic conversion and was bottled without […]

Serve this in a pinot noir glass. Intense bouquet of black, red and hedge fruits, with lavender, Asian spices and cumquat. Vivid, supple and expansive palate, so soft in the mouth, […]
