Aromas of citrus blossom, dried apricot and fresh fig transfer to the palate, where notes of freshly brewed coffee and toffee round out the complex flavor. This wine has lovely mouthfeel, with roundness on the palate and just the right amount of acidity to prevent this caramel-colored Eszencia from being too cloying. 97 points, Jeff Jenssen, Wine Enthusiast
Throughout history, Eszencia has been perhaps the world’s most revered, most legendary of all sweet wines (it even merits mention in Hungary’s national anthem!) This is an Aszú Eszencia which means it is made from shrivelled, botrytised grapes in the usual Aszu fashion, but here the concentration exceeds the top Aszú level of six puttonyos.

Add to cart Producer: Mount HorrocksThe 2017 Vat 6 Tyrrell’s Pinot Noir is gorgeous. It’s nervy and has that fabulous angular structure unique to Tyrrell’s. There is a complexity of flavour that I have not yet seen from this wine. Raspberry, strawberry and cranberry with hints of porcini mushroom and cured meat. There are also wonderful hints of oak spice […]

The Côte du Py of Morgon is one of Beaujolais’ great vineyards and certainly its best known and Foillard is undoubtedly the master of the site. No one renders it with equal clarity, complexity or […]
Add to cart Producer: Jean FoillardThis traditional style of sweet wine has been produced in Tokaj for centuries, and 1413 is the year the Disznókő vineyard was first mentioned in a land register. The name Szamorodni comes from the Polish meaning ‘as it comes’ or ‘the way it was grown’, and so the bunches come as they are from vineyard to cellar. […]
