“The 2021er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese offers a superbly complex and pure fresh nose of candied grapefruit, vineyard peach, verbena, almond cream, smoke, and a hint of cassis. The wine proves superbly honeyed and creamy on the palate, where riper elements of pineapple, honeyed peach, and apricot are wrapped in candied citrusy fruits. The wine is intense and still quite broad but the finish is already pure and hugely long. This is a splendid refined Auslese, which just needs time to develop all its facets. 2036-2061” 96 points, Jean Fisch and David Rayer, Mosel Fine Wines
“Crushed slate, slight smoke and hints of lime appear initially on the nose of the 2021 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Auslese, followed by a lovely herbal fresh chervil note. The palate is a veritable dance of lime and lemon, with brilliant, heightened citrus – beautifully serene, classic, straight and elegant. Wonderful citrus length. Absolute clarity. Wow.” 95 points, Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous
“The 2021 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese is very clear, pure and refined on the fascinating, flinty, finely concentrated and lemon-scented nose. Lush and savory on the palate, with crystalline acidity and great precision, this is a supple yet frisky as well as substantial and sustainable Auslese from the Himmelreich, and it develops a long, complex and saline finish. This is highly stimulating already, but the best is yet to come here. 7% stated alcohol.” 95 points, Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate

From the Coal River Valley; made by Sam Connew. Acidity is the secret to all things sweet, and the cool 2021 harvest was idyllic for wines of this ilk. Pale straw green; it leaps from the glass with brilliant purity of white lily fragrance, Granny Smith apple, lime and lemon. Not a molecule out of […]
Add to cart Producer: Pressing MattersA tiny 0.41 ha strip of vines located at the bottom of Grand Cru Les Clos. More apparent wood is present on the otherwise similar nose. There is however more richness and volume to the slightly bigger-bodied and more concentrated flavors that also brim with sappy dry extract while exhibiting outstanding length on the powerful […]
Add to cart Producer: Christian MoreauIt is difficult to describe, in decent terms, my salivation over a wine that is not only fabulous, but in relative terms, a ridiculous bargain. Extremely complex, yellow fruits, fresh citrus and preserved citrus. Lucid and creamy, the fruit pillowed if you like by soft, long acidity. Considering this is from Morstein, this is so […]
Add to cart Producer: SeehofCandied, spiced apple and overripe Persian melon dominate the Prum 2011 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese gold capsule, with honeyed impingement both aromatically and on the palate reinforcing the sense of relative opacity and rounded richness that the other Graachers in this year’s collection displayed. Here the sense of delicacy is nearly weightless; intriguing and enticing […]
